A Word from the Vine No. 213: Embracing God's Mysterious Ways

Welcome back, dear friends, to "A Word from the Vine." I'm Pastor Loren Christensen. Today, we embark on a journey that leads us to the threshold of God's mysterious ways, His incomprehensible wisdom, and His boundless kindness.

Let's begin by opening our Bibles to Isaiah 55, verses 8 and 9, where we are reminded:

"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways," declares the LORD. "As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts."

Have you ever considered the wonder of God's thoughts and ways? They transcend our understanding, higher than the heavens themselves. His thoughts are not our thoughts, His ways not our ways. But is that a cause for fear? No, my dear friends, it's a cause for wonder and awe.

In this world, where we often struggle to make sense of everything, it's a comfort to know that God's ways are higher than ours. His love is deeper, His kindness more profound, and His peace more enduring than anything we could fathom.

I want you to pause and think about this: God is kinder, gentler, and more peaceful than anything we have ever considered in our wildest dreams. Isn't that a beautiful thought?

In the parable of the workers in the vineyard, we saw God's incredible generosity, and now, we recognize that His grace and love are beyond our understanding. We can trust in His goodness, knowing that He is working in ways we may not comprehend.

So, my friends, let us embrace the mystery of God's ways. Let us trust in His kindness, proclaim His lordship, and speak His name always and everywhere. For in doing so, we align ourselves with the Creator of the universe, the One whose thoughts and ways are higher than ours.

Thank you for joining me on this journey through God's mysterious ways. As we conclude this short, three-part series on "A Word from the Vine," may you find peace in the knowledge that our Lord is kinder and more peaceful than we can imagine.

In your daily life, remember to speak His name, proclaim His lordship, and trust in His boundless love. Until we meet again, may God's grace and wisdom guide your path.
