I'm Pastor Loren Christensen, and this is "A Word from the Vine." As we draw our Pentecost reflection to a close, let us hold fast to the promise that resounds through the ages, the promise from Acts 2:21 that echoes in the chambers of our hearts: "And it shall come to pass that everyone who calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."
This is the universal call to salvation, a beacon of hope for all humanity. It transcends time, culture, and circumstance, reaching out to every soul willing to respond. Pentecost is not merely a past event but a present reality, where the Holy Spirit continues to move, to call, to transform.
Today, as we stand on the threshold of a new season, let us embrace the transformative power of the Holy Spirit. Let it guide us in service, embolden us in witness, and renew us in love. The Spirit that descended upon the disciples at Pentecost is the same Spirit that yearns to work within us, to shape us into the image of Christ, to propel us forward in the mission of God's kingdom.
So, as we go forth from this place, let us do so with the assurance of God's promise, the warmth of His love, and the power of His Spirit. May we be a reflection of God's glory, a testament to His grace, and a vessel for His purposes.
Go in peace, filled with the Spirit, and let your lives be a living sermon to the world.
