Hello everyone, I’m Pastor Loren Christensen from the Danish Countryside Chapel in Exira, Iowa. Today, I want to share with you why people have come to know me as “Everyone’s Pastor.”

A Welcoming Heart

In our community, many people face difficult times—whether it’s the loss of a loved one, illness, or other challenges. During these moments, they often feel alone and in need of someone to talk to. That’s where I come in. My door is always open, and my heart is always ready to listen. As it says in Romans 12:15, “Rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep.” I strive to live by this verse, offering comfort and companionship to anyone in need.

An Open Chapel

The Danish Countryside Chapel is a place where everyone is welcome, regardless of their church affiliation or lack thereof. Some people find it hard to connect with their own pastors or have never been part of a church. Here, they can find a safe space to explore their faith without any pressure. Matthew 11:28 reminds us, “Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” Our chapel embodies this invitation, offering rest and peace to all who enter.

No Pressure, Just Jesus

One of the reasons people feel comfortable coming to me is because I don’t push them. I believe in sharing the love of Jesus Christ without any sales pitch. People come to talk about Jesus, to understand why He died for their sins, and to find solace in His teachings. John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” This message of unconditional love and salvation is at the core of my ministry.

A Pastor for All

Whether you’ve been baptized or have never set foot in a church, you are welcome here. I believe that everyone deserves to know the love of Christ and to have a pastor they can trust. Galatians 3:28 tells us, “There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.” This unity in Christ is what I strive to reflect in my ministry.

So, why am I “Everyone’s Pastor”? Because I believe in being there for people, no matter their background or beliefs. I believe in offering a listening ear, a welcoming heart, and the love of Jesus Christ to all. Thank you for taking the time to listen, and remember, my door is always open.

God bless you all.

Pastor Loren
